Tuesday 8th March marked the close of a successful 2011 edition of the Melbourne International Venture Capital Conference that focused on creating effective strategies for maximising investments in the domestic and global market.
Endorsed by the Victoria Government, the Melbourne International Venture Capital Conference gathered a leading group of speakers to discuss the next stage of Australasian venture capital to secure a successful and sustainable future. Our distinguished panel of over 30 expert speakers addressed topics such as:

- How you can attract foreign investors to Australia.

And Mark Carnegie delivered a candid address on the challenges that the VC industry in Australia is facing, the steps that must be taken to become a network of collaboration that breeds investment in innovation, and why he made the decision to invest his energy into setting up a venture capital fund.
In addition, the heads of the leading VC firms shared their expert opinions on how to source the next investment opportunity that will drive industry transformation, how to best engage the LP community to attract funding and establishing the most effective route to exit for a venture to maximise value.
